BBC Strictlys Janette and Aljaž reveal unusual living arrangement after daughters birth
Strictly Come Dancing pair Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec are currently shacked up in an Airbnb with their baby daughter Lyra.
Cheshire is where the family home is, but with the UK tour of Dancing in a Winter Wonderland on the horizon, the new parents have been forced to temporarily up sticks down to London for the rehearsals.
Revealing their unusual living arrangement on Instagram Stories, the Cuban-American, 39, told her followers over the weekend: "Basically, what's happened is we have rehearsals in London for three weeks before we open Dancing in a Winter Wonderland. So we got an Airbnb down in London and moved everything with us – everything for Lyra, Aljaž and I.
"Aljaž's sister came for the first week – and now Aljaž's mother is here this week. Then my mother arrives next week and she'll be joining us for the tour. It's quite a manic schedule because we've got rehearsals all day. I've still got [Strictly spin-off] It Takes Two, and so our time with Lyra is limited at the moment."
Dancing in a Winter Wonderland commences Tuesday, November 21 in Portsmouth before travelling to the likes of Blackpool, Belfast, Glasgow and Edinburgh – ending in Bath on Tuesday, December 19.
Elsewhere in the dancer's clip, Janette made sure to clap back at the mum-shamers targeting her for returning to work so soon after giving birth to Lyra.
Live on air, while working on Morning Live, she'd previously read out these two criticisms: "I know mums have to work, but I personally think this is too soon" and "I wish celebs wouldn't normalise mums going back to work when their babies are tiny".
Defending herself on social media, Janette said: "I just wanted to quickly come on and say I've been receiving so many messages from so many parents saying how much they've gone through the same thing, how much they have also been shamed for some of the choices they have made. And just thanking me for saying something and speaking up about it.
"I'm just so grateful that I had the platform with Morning Live to do it because, yes, I do think it's a conversation to be had, to hopefully change government policies to allow fathers to also be more involved. We need to change that stigma that women should be at home and men should be at work – and we just kind of accept that.
"I'm just really grateful that a lot of you felt touched by it and that I was able to be a voice. Thank you for all of your messages."
Earlier this month, Janette told Prima magazine that she and her Slovenian husband, 33, would "love for Lyra to have a brother or sister".
"You never know," added Aljaž. "You pray for it and hopefully it will happen. We obviously want more children, but after the [IVF] process we went through to have Lyra, you quickly learn there are never any guarantees in life."
