Helen Flanagan managed to leave her bath running on Monday evening, resulting in a waterfall right in the middle of the kitchen.

Best recognised for her Coronation Street turn as Rosie Webster, and two memorable stints on I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, the 33-year-old mum-of-three videoed the whole mess on Instagram Stories for her fans to enjoy.

The first of six clips featured her eldest daughter Matilda laying a bowl down on the kitchen floor to catch the pesky drips; "Mummy left the bath on," read the caption.

She then declared it a "mad house" as the kids apparently went on to break the TV, too.

"My poor suffering dad in the back [laughing emoji," was written alongside another video, with Paul Flanagan heroically trying to fix the technical issue as Helen messed around with the youngsters.

This residential chaos follows a car crash for the family last weekend.

On social media, Helen revealed to her millions of fans that Matilda, Delilah and Charlie had spent the school half-term with her their grandma and dad Scott Sinclair, but she wasn't able to pick them up and instead needed to send her dad.

"I couldn't go, I couldn't drive because, like it wasn't a big deal but I crashed my car. The kids were fine, I was fine," the actress insisted.

"I was pumpkin-picking and all I did was reverse into a literally a piece of wood because I can't park, reverse park or whatever to save my life. And anyway I just thought 'Oh gosh I've scratched my car' because it didn't even make a noise and I couldn't believe it, it took the whole of my bonnet off, just the whole of the bonnet.

"I was like 'oh wow', my car's new as well".

Elsewhere on Helen's agenda is a potential return to Weatherfield, although life as a single mum has temporarily killed her career as an actress.

Speaking to The Sun last month, she said: "I would honestly love love love to go back [to Corrie] so much but I’m just so busy with the children, so I’ve got an eight-year-old, five-year-old and a two-year-old and because me and their daddy has separated and he lives five hours away with his work, it’s quite difficult with the balance."

Helen then claimed that the average person doesn't appreciate how long the days are when you work in soaps – leaving the house at 5am and not returning until 9pm sometimes.

"For me, when you’re a mum you have to put your children first, and I would love to go back but I think right now it wouldn’t be fair on them," she added.

Prior to this, the TV star pitched a comeback for her character Rosie, but as a mother this time around.

"I’d like to see Rosie be a mum, I’d love to channel that. I’d love her to come back with a baby that she hadn’t told Sally about – Sally would be a good grandma."
