Location, Location, Location presenter Phil Spencer has spoken out for the first time following his parents’ funeral, to thank fans and his loved-ones for their support.

The Channel 4 star took to Instagram to share his gratitude for the “dozens” of floral tributes and “thoughtful” messages he had received after his mum and dad both died in a tragic car accident.

Phil shared two individual photos of his dad Richard, 89, and mum Anne, 82, before opening up on how the support he has been inundated with has helped the family cope with their “sadness and shock”.

He wrote: “When we buried Mum and Dad on Friday, and celebrated their lives with a Memorial service on Saturday, we had many Thank yous to say to our community in Kent, but I wanted to say a very large thank you beyond that, for the dozens of bunches of flowers, hundreds of letters and cards, and thousands of kind and thoughtful messages I’ve received over the last few weeks.

“The shock and sadness is immense, but I’d like you to know it has been diluted by such huge support from so many friends and followers; my family and I have appreciated every single kind word, message and prayer sent our way – thank you SO SO much.
