Zoe Ball was left shouting in shock in an Instagram video this week. The BBC Radio 2 regular and her family were forced to deal with a household issue, and she caught it all on tape.

The 49-year-old shared the evidence with her 479,000 followers as they attempted to aid an animal that was trapped.

The presenter was heard swearing and questioning if her companion as joking about their discovery.

Zoe’s clip saw her remain out of shot, but she explained what was happening throughout.

She captioned it: “Animal rescue squad… #lockdowndramas!”

The video started with a male moving a drainpipe, with only his fit-flop clad feet in view.

He was holding a box as Zoe branded it a “risky mission”, without it being immediately clear what was going on.

She continued: “Something’s stuck in the pipe… Oh god… What is it?”

“I don’t know,” he replied, as he attempted to get the creature out and into a safe place.

After Zoe asked again: “What is it?”, he exclaimed: “It’s a squirrel.”

“Oh! You’re joking?” she said in shock. “Oh my god, it is a squirrel,” as it was seen scurrying off at speed.

“S**t! Cat! The cat! Woody, it’s is a squirrel. Where’s it gone?” she was heard asking her son, 19.

However, things didn’t sound like they’d gone to plan as the male was heard remarking: “Oh don’t go in there!”

It is unclear how the debacle ended but thankfully the squirrel was set free.

Zoe was immediately inundated with comments, with one user telling her: “How did you know there was something in the pipe? Great rescue.”

“Awww, go little squirrel go! xx,” a second said, as many said they had been left amused by Zoe’s reaction and worry about what the cat might do.

“Oh this is adorable,” a third went on.
