Umm, Could Anna Delvey Go from Fake Heiress to 'Real Housewives of New York' Star?
From fake heiress to real housewife? If Real Housewives of New York City alum Kelly Bensimon were in charge of things, infamous fraudster Anna Delvey (real name Anna Sorokin) might make exactly that jump.
“She would be amazing,” Bensimon said during a recent interview on the Andy’s Girls with Sarah Galli podcast. “She would be so nasty to everybody and they would be like, ‘How could you be nasty to me? I’m famous!'”
Apparently, there are some people out in the RHONY inner circle who are convinced that Delvey/Sorokin already made contact with Bensimon back in her fraudster days, but, FWIW, Bensimon is 100 percent sure that’s not the case.
“I would’ve remembered meeting her because if I had met her, she would have been really, really nasty to rich people,” she explained (per Page Six). “When a person’s really wealthy, the last thing a wealthy person would want to feel is that they don’t know what they’re talking about…And that was her strategy with wealthy people to get power over them. I would’ve remembered that. I would have been like, ‘Ding!'”
This is all just amazing speculation/dreamcasting, of course, but Delvey has made it clear that she would like to give the public a chance to get to know her better and to see how she’s changed since her fake heiress days.
“There is definitely a lot more to my story that I’d like to share,” she told the New York Times ahead of the release of Netflix’s Inventing Anna series based on her exploits. “With that in mind, I’m working on multiple projects. I’m working on a documentary project with Bunim Murray Productions in Los Angeles. I’m also working on a book about my time in jail and working on a podcast as well.”
So maybe a Real Housewives stint is in the cards for Anna Delvey?
