He’s a Hollywood action man, playing a Marvel villain and Mad Max over his 20 year career.

And Tom Hardy, 44, proved his skills in real life as he won two gold medals in a charity Jiu-Jitsu championship over the weekend.

Footage of the actor has emerged showing him dominating the competition and winning all his matches at the REORG Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship at Aldersley Leisure Village in Wolverhampton on Saturday.

Tom was competing in his role as a trustee for the REORG Charity, which work with people with life-altering physical injuries, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression, training them in Brazilian jiu-jitsu to help aid their mental and physical recovery. 

The charity’s latest championship which raised funds for the organisation featured Tom as a competitor.

In a series of videos shared on TikTok by Jiu-Jitsu Geoff, the actor was seen expertly taking down his opponents, with the caption declaring that he was ‘dominating REORG Open taking double gold.’

The TikToker also joked: ‘Tom Hardy out here ripping people’s arms and legs off.’

Tom started training with REORG and learning Brazilian jiu-jitsu while preparing for his role as a MMA fighter in the 2011 film Warrior.  

More recently, as part of his preparation for his role in 2018 Venom film, he transformed his physique with mixed martial arts workouts.

Prepping for his role as the Marvel villain in the Spider-Man spin-off saw Tom working out five times a week and sometimes twice a day with Pro MMA fighter Nathan Jones.

Tom is currently preparing for the third Venom movie. a year after the second movie made a huge $500million at the box office.

In June the actor shared a page from the forthcoming script, revealing that he has reunited with scriptwriter Kelly Marcel on the storyline.

Speaking to Screenrant last year Tom teased: ‘Oh, there’s always a plan in place for more movies, there has to be.’

‘You can’t start one without thinking about the next one, like in that aspect, because this one will lead to that one.’

‘If it goes, you know? So you have to leave your lay lines out just in case.’
