ITV presenter Tom Bradby has been a close friend of the Royal Family for decades and has always had a good relationship with Prince William. However, reports of his contact with Prince Harry has led to suggestions William may have ended his 20-year-friendship with the host of ITV’s News at Ten.

A royal insider suggested the pair had parted ways after his close contact with Harry and Meghan Markle.

They continued to say how this has been “very difficult” for the Duke of Cambridge to come to terms with.

They said: “Some staff at the Palaces are even angrier about Bradby and the tone of his reporting at ITV News, which they consider to be pro-Harry and Meghan.

“It’s well-known Bradby personally communicates with Harry on a regular basis and that is pretty obvious to royal aides who know how things work.

“But it’s been very difficult to accept given the long history between Bradby and William.”

This comes after Bradby was reportedly instrumental in securing the rights for the Meghan and Harry interview with Oprah Winfrey for ITV.

The insider continued to the Daily Mail: “The friendship between William and Tom is very much over.

“The Duke feels let down by Bradby and the way he’s acted over the past few months.

“William is a sensitive soul and believes it’s in times of crisis when you find out who your true friends are.

“It would be fair to say Bradby hasn’t been one of them.” has contacted Kensington Palace, ITV and Bradby’s representatives.

Kensington Palace declined to comment to the Daily Mail.

While a spokeswoman for ITV news said: “Unfortunately at this moment we won’t be in a position to comment.”

Bradby has interviewed both William and Harry numerous times over the years.

This includes an exclusive interview with William and the Duchess of Cambridge after their engagement.

He also even attended their wedding with his wife as guests.

However, in recent years he made headlines after following Meghan and Harry in a documentary for ITV called Harry & Meghan: An African Journey.

In 2019, the channel aired a personal interview with the pair as Bradby joined them on their 10-day tour of Africa.

During this, the presenter asked Meghan how she was coping under intense media scrutiny.

She replied: “Thank you for asking because not many people have asked if I’m ok.

“But it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes.”

Bradby then continued: “And the answer is, would it be fair to say, not really ok? That it’s really been a struggle?”

Meghan then replied to this, saying: “Yes.”
