The TV personality admitted he was confronting his ‘demons’ by looking at the ‘scars’ that he’s been left with by not having his parent in his life.
Teddy was seen in floods of tears as he said he was hardened to the situation a few years ago, when he would have insisted he didn’t need his mother to be there for him.
But now he is desperate to know more about the part of his life he feels he is missing despite not attempting to contact his mother himself.
In a clip shared on his Instagram page, he said: ‘If you ask me two, three years ago do you need any contact from your own mum I would have told you “no I don’t care”.
‘If I answer now but … I think I am just sick of not knowing that part of who I am.’
When asked if he had contacted his mother, he said: ‘No. I just haven’t really been brave enough.
‘And I think literally the only thing that’s stopping me is me.’
