Princess Eugenie has left a sweet message for her grandmother the Queen as she celebrates her 96th birthday.
Queen Elizabeth II celebrated turning 96 on Thursday 21 April and marked the occasion by releasinga portrait that sees her posing with two majestic white horses.
Sharing a message for her “granny”, Princess Eugenie, 32, took to Instagram to share her birthday wishes for her grandma.
Alongside a photo of the Queen and Eugenie standing on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, Eugenie wrote: “Happy 96th Birthday Granny! You have been such an inspiration to me and so many across the world. Thank you for your support, love and strength. Xx”.

Prince WilliamandKate Middletonsent praise to the monarch as she celebrated her birthday, sharing a couple of photos on Instagram of personal moments with the Queen in their tribute.
In one shot, the 96 year old is seen in conversation with the Duke and Duchess outdoors, wearing a bright yellow coat with white gloves and a purple printed dress underneath.
The second image was taken by Kate herself and shows the monarch with the latePrince Philipas they sat with their great-grandchildren,Prince George— who was pictured sporting matching tartan to his great-grandmother —Prince LouisandPrincess Charlotte.
“Wishing Her Majesty The Queen a very happy 96th birthday today!” Prince William and Kate captioned on their joint Instagram account.
“An inspiration to so many across the UK, the Commonwealth and the world, it’s particularly special to be celebrating in this #PlatinumJubilee year.”
Tributes have also been pouring in across the world of entertainment for Her Majesty as she celebrates her birthday,including from David Beckham and Peter Andre.
The Queen appeared in an official portrait for her special day,in a photo released by the Royal Windsor Horse Show.
In the photo, the Queen is stood in between two horses – which appear to be Cobs – as she gently holds their reins.
Her Majesty could be seen wearing a long green coat, as she wore her hair in her usual perm.
The portrait highlights the monarch’s lifetime affection for horses, having owned several and ridden for much of her life up until last September, when she reportedly had to stop due to “discomfort”.
