The Kardashians showed up on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to promote their new Hulu show, and their appearance just *happened* to come mere days after Kourtney Kardashian’s surprise Vegas wedding to Travis Barker (which was iconically officiated by an Elvis impersonator). And naturally Jimmy had questions. Mostly about whether or not the wedding was legal.
Speaking to Kourt as her entire family sat there, Jimmy said “I think you’re the Kardashian of the week this week because you went ahead and got fake married. But we didn’t know it was fake married.”
She quickly shot back, “Well, it’s not called fake married,” and Jimmy replied “It is called that.”
Kourtney then clarified “There was no, like, possibility to get a marriage license at that hour,” explaining that she tried her best to get one: “I’m like, ‘Are you guys lying?’ We asked like five times, what do we have to do to make this happen. It was 2 am and they were like, ‘It opens at 8 o’clock.'” Kourt then added that she and Travis wanted to get married for real, but “We just did it anyway, it’s what’s in the heart.”

Kourt previously confirmed that she and Travis had just gotten married for “practice” after speculation about whether or not the wedding was official, writing on Instagram “Once upon a time in a land far, far away (Las Vegas) at 2am, after an epic night and a little tequila, a queen and her handsome king ventured out to the only open chapel with an Elvis and got married (with no license). Practice makes perfect.”
Apparently, the couple are planning several more ceremonies to celebrate their wedding (no details on when/where), so it’ll be officially official before long.
