The first celebrity who talked about this is a woman who has been very vocal about her battle with eating disorders. Phil show, and has also spoken about it on the Oprah Winfrey show. The second celebrity is a woman who has been open about her struggles with anorexia as well, and a few others. And lastly is a man who was diagnosed with eating disorders in his adolescence but has managed to overcome his mental health issues entirely, and talks about his experience with eating online. In a few days, two of the most influential men in the entertainment industry will descend on the city of Los Angeles. One is Steven Spielberg, who will play host to the Oscars and who has recently stated that the first words out of his mouth when he wins the coveted prize will be Thank you, God. The other is Oprah Winfrey, who will be visiting the City of Angels. Oscar night will be a bit of a public show of gratitude for the entertainment industry, which has long given a bit of a helping hand out to poor, inner-city communities in the form of grants, tax breaks, and other assistance. While the majority of the public is grateful, some are not, and you can bet that someone is sending a letter to the White House or to Spielberg threatening to boycott the Oscars if they dont pull out the big guns and deliver a strong message to Hollywood that their industry is doing so much to help the poor. You know it has to be something big, because the movie industry has taken more than its fair share of flak over the years, and theyve never done less to help underprivileged communities than they are doing right now. So of course, the industry is sending the White House a big fat fat check. 100,000 to the American Red Cross for health, safety, and human assistance programs at the site of the Academy Awards.
