Joe Jonas filed for divorce as last resort but couldnt handle her partying
Joe Jonas reportedly tried to “salvage” his four-year marriage to Sophie Turner before he filed for divorce on Tuesday.
The split was a “last resort” for the boyband star as “he never wanted to break up his family,” but he had to do what was best for his two young daughters – whom he shares with the Game of Thrones star, a source revealed to Page Six.
According to the insider, the estranged couple “were going through it this year”, following reports that Sophie’s alleged “partying” became too much for Joe to handle.
The insider also pointed out: “An unhappy home isn’t a home, and the truth is that he and Sophie were going through it this year. There’s a lot of noise out there, but it wasn’t a straw-that-broke-the-camel’s-back situation like it’s being reported.”
“It just kept building, and Joe finally reached a point where he felt that he had exhausted all options to salvage the marriage,” they went on to say.

The former couples’ different lifestyles would reportedly lead to a breakdown in the marriage.
“She likes to party; he likes to stay at home. They have very different lifestyles,” a source also told TMZ.
Meanwhile, another insider close to the pair claimed that Joe’s filing was no “surprise” to their close friends and family, with the pair spending “the whole summer apart”.
Speaking to PEOPLE a source revealed: “They were not separated but they’ve been living separate lives for months.

“As far as custody goes, this literally all just happened, so they’re figuring it out in real time,” the insider added before sharing that the couple was “based in Florida.”
“The kids were with him the last few months, traveling with him with family while he’s been on tour,” the source said, while “Sophie’s been working in the UK”.
Joe has now officially filed for divorce from Sophie putting an end to the ongoing speculation surrounding their relationship.
He reportedly stated that their relationship was “irretrievably broken” as the reason behind his filing.
The Jonas Brothers singer submitted the paperwork to end his marriage in a Miami Dade County courtroom, just hours after news broke that he had hired a divorce lawyer.
Despite their alleged contradicting lifestyles, the estranged pair will most likely not be fighting over money amid their divorce.
According to The Blast, they have an “ironclad prenuptial agreement in place,” meaning they negotiated most of their assets prior to their marriage in 2019.
With both Joe and Sophie having their own separate successful careers, they will likely keep the money they have each earned over the years.
