Fearless influencer who inspired Katie Price dies at 35 after losing breast cancer battle
Social media favourite Nicky Newman, a former broker administrator who inspired Kate Price and has lived with breast cancer for five years, has sadly died.
In a pre-written and utterly heartbreaking message, the star, who was 35 when she passed away, reflected on her life and living with stage four cancer.
"If you’re reading this it means I have died, I made it 5 & half years though, not bad for a stage 4 breastie ey," Nicky had written in an Instagram caption.
Along with a joyous snap of the blonde beauty enjoying sunshine and her holidays, a special moment as she continued to live life to the fullest during her difficult journey, she continued to update fans that her life was now over.
"And none of this ‘she fought her battle nonsense’, I didn’t lose anything, the cancer eventually took over & that’s okay, we all knew this would happen," she said. "I don’t think we are ever prepared to hear the words, we think we are indestructible & a magic cure will appear, but the truth is we all live this life day to day (we just knew our days are shorter).
"So please promise me to cherish those around you and give your friends and loved ones the biggest squeezes! GO GRAB LIFE! You never truly know what is coming around the corner – so don’t take anything for granted."
The mum-of-two went on to thank all of her followers and was grateful to them for becoming part of her "legacy".
"My “Instagramily” in MR.G’s words and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being here every step of the way," Nicky said. "There is more to come (with some amazing things in the works) that will aim to continue that legacy, so stick around and keep being the amazing bootiful hoomans you all already are!
"I’m a believer in energies and if people hold on to the positive energy we have created from this and other pages like it, then I will always be with you."
The social media star went on to say that her husband Mr. G would be later updating fans but she wanted to announce her own death in the way she chose.
"Love you all my bootiful hoomans! Nicky," the fan-favourite sadly added.
Fans and friends flocked to the comments to share their thoughts for the grieving family, as many were "heartbroken" to hear the news.
"So heartbroken, I have no words," one person wrote. "Sending so much love to Mr G and your beautiful family."
Another follower posted: "Heaven gained a beautiful angel. So heartbroken by this news @nicknacklou to your family and friends. Fly those angel wings high."
"The news we never wanted to hear. Sleep well beautiful lady. Love to all your family and friends," a third shared.
While a fourth fan wrote: "Heartbroken. You are the most incredible, incredible woman. Continue to be that bright beacon on your new journey, you really have been the most amazing inspiration to so many. So much love to you all xxx"
Strictly Come Dancing professional Amy Dowden, who is currently fighting breast cancer herself, shared: "The most beautiful ray of sunshine who has done so much and created a community and legacy that will live on. I hope you know all the help and awareness you have done and will always continue to do so.
"I remember when I found out I needed a port your page I turned too! I will forever hold onto your lovely voice notes and will always think of you when I say Welsh Love.
"Thank you for being utterly incredible and a TRUE INSPIRATION," Amy continued. "I promise to grab life and deeply miss your radiance and positivity X love to Mr G, your family, friends and huge community you created online."
Jeremy Clarkson's daughter Emily Clarkson shared thoughts for Nicky and her husband Alex and sent "all the love in the world".
Author Giovanna Fletcher followed: "Sending you so much love. What a love story you’ve had. Nicky will live on in your heart always. Xx"
"You were an absolute joy and an inspiration and you filled the room with such great energy," presenter Gaby Roslin then added. "What a good soul you were. My huge love to your family and your friends. I do hope you knew how much you were loved and adored."
