Aside from dissing the ‘Certified Lover Boy’ artist, Ye calls record producer Just Blaze a ‘copycat’ while speaking to N.O.R.E. a.k.a. Noreaga and DJ EFN.
AceShowbiz –Drake let fans know that he’s aware of Kanye West‘s recent candid interview. After his nemesis addressed their feud in the Thursday, November 4 episode of Revolt TV’s “Drink Champs”, the “Certified Lover Boy” artist subtly reacted to it on social media.
Shortly after Ye’s interview made media headlines, record producer Just Blaze responded to the emcee’s “copycat” remark. “He get credit for [Jay-Z‘s 2001 album] ‘The Blueprint’, and I did the first half of ‘The Blueprint’, and he just copied my half,” the Yeezy designer claimed in the chat. “I mean look where I’m at today and look where he at today. So that should show you.”
Now in his statement, Blaze pointed out, “Well that was unfortunate. I’m only addressing this publicly because it was stated publicly. I’m not here for mudslinging, I’m just a bit confused and disappointed.” He added, “None of what was said tonight regarding me fits with any of our history or our previous interactions – particularly in light of very recent attempts to work together again.”
“Through recent years he has reached out to collaborate on various projects, including a much rumored collaborative project that he was looking for me to handle a good amount of,” Blaze added. He also noted that Ye’s team tried to get him for “Donda” “in the 11th hour” which didn’t happen because it was “way too last minute.”
“Regarding that one comment: respectfully, I’m, happy for him and the fact that he has succeeded in the ways he wanted to, but not everyone wants to be where he is,” the DJ concluded his message. “Everyone’s definition of personal success is a bit different. I’m quite happy where I am creatively, with my family, and my life in general. We were a part of history together and I wish him well and continued success.”
Blaze’s post didn’t go unnoticed by Drake. Despite not leaving any comments, the 35-year-old Canadian native was caught liking the post.
When sitting down with N.O.R.E. a.k.a. Noreaga and DJ EFN on “Drink Champs”, Ye insisted that he didn’t leak Drake’s address back in August. “He advertised it when he was building the house,” the estranged husband of Kim Kardashian reasoned. “Everyone knows it. It’s like a place in Canada you go by. It’s like a monument. You can find it. That’s how I was able to find it. It’s Googleable. It’s on Google Maps.”
