The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce honored awarding-winning music producer/performer DJ Khaled with the 2,719th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday.
Khaled’s wife Nicole Tuck and their two children, Asahd and Aalam, were present on the occasion as the 46 year-old unveiled the star that bears his name.
The star was dedicated in the category of Recording at 6212 Hollywood Boulevard next to Amoeba Music.
Jay-Z, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Fat Joe, Teyana Taylor and Jeezy were among those who joined Khaled at the star-studded ceremony.
Introducing the multiplatinum artist and mega-producer, Fat Joe said, “When I met him, he made me move out of New York to Miami. Just to be close to him … that energy was so infectious. When I think of Khaled, I think of love. That’s the only reason why you see the heavyweights here like you see them.”
“In hip-hop, for a long time, we haven’t really embraced fatherhood. Nobody has done it like Khaled. And music-wise, there’s nobody with a greater ear,” he added.
