Death in Paradise: Josephine Jobert discusses return to show
Death In Paradise star Josephine Jobert, 35, returned to the island of Guadeloupe as her character DS Florence Cassell for season 10 after previously leaving the show. The actress admitted she was apprehensive about reprising her role in the popular BBC drama, but has since said she made the right decision and hopes to stay for another series.
We have ups and downs, it’s normal we’re human beings.
On her return to the show, Josephine addressed what it’s really like working with her co-stars on set.
The actress revealed she had a “good time” with her team, but admitted “it’s not easy every day”.
She said: “Working with people every single day, from six in the morning to six in the evening, it can be quite long.
“So, we have ups and downs, it’s normal we’re human beings. But I’ve made very, very good friends, especially this year in series ten, I met amazing people.”

The BBC star went on to say the cast have had “so many great moments together” and said she was particularly close to Tobi Bakare, who plays JP Hooper.
“He’s like a little brother to me,” she added to Hello! Magazine.
“I love him so much, he’s the best. He’s so, so happy every day and makes everybody laugh on set, he brings a good energy.
“We got to know each other a bit more every day, because we had time to talk in between takes and to share things.
“So that made the whole experience even better.”
Josephine left the fold as DS Florence Cassell back in 2019.
At the time, she told her fans on Twitter she was leaving for ”personal and professional reasons”.
In a tweet, she wrote: “Just a message to just say thank you and goodbye.

“For those who watched episode six you now know, I’m leaving Death in Paradise.
“I quit the show for personal and professional reasons – nothing dramatic I swear!
“Everything is fine it’s just that I’ve been working on Death in Paradise for five years… I loved every minute every minute of it.”
Since returning to the show, the Florence Cassell star has been giving fans an insight into filming.
Last month, she told her Instagram fans she had faced her fear of crabs to film a scene.
She revealed: “Just so you know, I’m terrified of spiders, it’s a real phobia and people who have the same phobia will understand crabs are like huge massive spiders.
“It’s even worse it’s like a nightmare so I did the scene and I was decomposed, gone, dead inside.”
The actress then showed fans a behind-the-scenes video of her practising holding the crab.
“I’m literally crying and terrified,” she said of the moment. “But, I did it the first time, I was so proud of myself.”
Death In Paradise continues tonight at 9pm on BBC One.
