During the season premiere episode 50 Years Weve Been Here Negan is sitting in a meeting with the leaders of the various tribes discussing a possible new world order. Heres an excerpt from the report, via TVLine:In case you havent noticed, things havent been the same since the bombs dropped 60 years ago. Were all gonna be millionaires if we can just figure out a way to take over the world. Negans pretty much telling us all to stop fighting amongst ourselves and get along. Its hard to win an unwinnable conflict like war. I mean, Negans already got the upper hand, why not win this one too. So what exactly does Negan mean by this new world order. Well, heres what he says:The world has already gone to shit. I mean, I dont know everything that was destroyed, but I do know theres a bunch of these super mutants that live underground. They dont want to be enslaved, they want to be eaten. I dont know if that makes sense, but you get the idea. It means your lives, your families, your loved ones and your existence as a human are going to matter not at all now. And thats not even the craziest shit that happens during this part of the report. Negan then goes on to detail how hes sending his best people to the Hilltop Colony to begin preparing for this new world. It seems like this is exactly what The Governor was hoping for, but you have never been so terrified of whats going to come next or what this means. As you watch Negan and his people arrive, you really wonder if you should give him what he wants. That wouldnt be the first time that hes made a point of getting a taste of power, having the Governor kill a bunch of people for the hell of it isnt exactly going to make things any better for him. You wonder if you should try to take matters into your own hands, though. What if you take that bag of food from Maggie that is currently dangling from the tree over there and put a bullet in Negan. You see her face turning red and then the bag coming down over her.
