Even if you can wait until after work, it wouldnt hurt to have someone you could call and they should be able to come and get you and it would save you the inconvenience of actually calling the police for help in the first place. The only other person in the town that comes to mind is Cindy, the former co-worker of Jim and now living alone in town. You were actually going to call her yesterday, but then she was out of town and you didnt want to wait so long to call her back since it would have been better to do so earlier in the week, when you actually knew she was going to be home. At least youll have more chances to talk to her now and with the information youve received, youre confident that you could convince her to leave town.
