Though I know its tough to get started in the entertainment industry when youre still in school or in high school. The truth is, it does help to have experience before you go into the industry. If youre starting out right now, try to get a job as a model or as an actress in an indie movie. It can help you a lot and might give you a confidence boost. Remember, there is just no way to be in both. Youre Going to Need A LOT Of ConfidenceI know, I know, weve all heard this before, but its true. One thing I hear a lot on here and in real life is I dont look like an actress. This is a tough industry and youre going to look awkward sometimes. Keep working hard and make sure you really put yourself out there by modeling. Modeling and acting are both the best ways to get your foot in the door. If youre really confident and want to jump in and make a career out of acting, you have to make yourself look great. If youre a model, you should try to take some of the things youve learned about makeup and hair and try to apply some of that to acting.
