BBC Strictly stars Ellie Leach and Vito Coppolas romance very one-sided
Vito Coppola kisses Ellie Leach on Strictly Come Dancing
Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola does not appear to have a genuine connection amid dating rumours, Judi James claims.
The body language expert addressed the pair’s on-screen chemistry and believes the romance rumours are completely one-sided.
The Coronation Street actress and pro dancer performed a Rumba to Cyndi Lauper’s True Colours and earned a score of 35 points on November 11 when they wowed audiences on Strictly Come Dancing.
The couple celebrated the end of their routine with a hug, with Vito additionally planting a kiss on Ellie’s cheek.
During Blackpool week, Ellie, 22, and Vito, 31, were pictured arm in arm on the promenade in Blackpool ahead of the weekend’s live show from the Northern seaside town, sparking romance rumours as they put on a cosy display.

“Their body language isn’t fitting the narrative of any romantic relationship,” the expert suggested. “Vito does keep showering her with kisses but that is what Vito does.”
Judi continued: “He is very good at giving his partners a glow-up by looking smitten and we should also ignore their ‘nearly kiss’ at the end of their routine. These are part of the Strictly culture now and nearly all dancers use them because they get press interest and keep the fans glued.”
Despite performing a romantic rumba two weeks ago the expert is certain the affection is one-sided and is clearly coming from Vito.
“Ellie was very careful about giggling and looking away from Vito,” she said.

“There were no sexual or romantic signals from her and she kept her eyes on Tess or Claudia once she was off the dance floor.”
Judi added: “Of course, this could be over-compensatory gesturing but it meant their signals of interest were looking very one-sided.”
In an interview with OK! Magazine, Ellie denied that the kiss was anything more than platonic.
“It was only a kiss on the cheek,” she says. “He gives me a kiss on the cheek every Saturday! It was definitely on the cheek.”
In the joint interview, Vito clarified that his show of affection is down to him being a “very, very warm person”.
“I just like to hug,” he adds. “But no, we’re a good team.”
